Redskin's Taylor crtically shot

ESPN is reporting that Washington Redskins strong safety, Sean Taylor, was shot and critically wounded in his Miami-area home during an apparent home robbery attempt early this morning. According to the report, he was (ouch) shot in the groin.

Taylor has had many run ins with the law and been in trouble with the NFL since joined the Redskins as a #5 draft pick in 2004. I wish I could say I was shocked by this news, but I'm not.

I do, however, think we should send our prayers out to him and his family at this time.

Taylor had made a huge turn... (Below threshold)
Rob:

Taylor had made a huge turnaround since the birth of his child and Redskin coaches and players would tell you he was not the same person.

But arguing about all that is pointless; Taylor died early this morning.

Our deepest sympathies and most sincere condolences go out to his friends and family.
