Eckstein to Jays (Wizbang Sports)

David Eckstein will be taking his shrimpy butt to Toronto after signing a one-year, $4.5 million deal. The shortstop hit .309 last year with the Cardinals, but committed a career-high 20 errors, and participated in a career-low 59 double-plays. The Cardinals will likely replace Eckstein with recently-signed former Gold-Glover Cesar Izturis, unless they have a young shortstop they'd rather try in that position - you know, one who can actually hit.
