Kentucky Beats Depleted Florida State 35-28

With 3:30 left in the first half, Kentucky quarterback Andre Woodson threw an interception to Florida State's Tony Carter who returned it for a touchdown.

Rather than run it into the end zone and collect six quick points, Carter decided to act like a complete idiot and do a leaping dive across the goal line which was followed immediately by another Florida State player trying to out-idiot him. This resulted in two penalties and Florida State ended up kicking off from the seven yard line.

The ensuing Kentucky drive stalled but Florida State showed its overwhelming lack of class. By game's end the Seminoles had racked up a whopping 102 penalty yards.

In the second half UK seemed more interested in Woodson's records than a viable offensive plan. It all worked out in the end with the Wildcats winning 35-28.

This marked the first back to back bowl wins by the Wildcats since 1951-1952 when they were coached by Bear Bryant.

The SEC remains undefeated in bowl games.
